Daniela & Mike from Hawaii (Session in Vina Santa Rita, Chile)

Daniela and Mike contacted me several months ago aftr there wedding to talk about shooting a wedding portrait session while in Chile on honeymoon staying at the Hotel Real in Santa Rita Vineyard  (STUNNING, now in my top 3 locations in central Chile).
Daniela, part Japanese and part native Hawaiian, and Mike, born onthe mainld but been living in Hawaii for many years were such a cool, laid back couple. The were so enjoying their honemoon, the ocation and getting to live out another day and bride and groom....and....we had loads of laughs. 
Daniela had mentioned to  she like a kinda romantic feel to the images, with her stunning dress and a the surroundings it was perfect. She had expressed her urge to crush grapes but not an easy call at such short noticed...so once the sun went down we did what we could lol... i hope the vineyard doesnt see this or i will never be allowed back lol.. Next time I am in Hawaii guys you can be sure to hear from me for a light refreshment. A real pleasure to meet you both..  Aloha and Mahalo

Chilean Wedding, Indian Dress, Japanese Tsunami

Franchesca and Felipe, both of Vina del mar, Chile went into many long details when planning their special day with nearly 400 people attending it was a full church and the event salon at Salina Pergola in Vina del Mar was buzzing with activity.  Our day started out at the parents of Fran for the bridal prepation and the beautifull Indian inspired dress from Frans 1 year stay in India falling in love with many aspects of their culutre. While preperation was taking place the TV announced that the ecent earthquake in Japan was resulting in a Tsunami alert for Chile. With te Salinas event centre being right on the coast this caused many concerns as to how the day would play out. My heart was aching for fran as this was so dstracting from the days events for her, and probibly many other brides on pacific coastal positions.

 Anyhoo, ready she got and of to the church we went then to the event centre where, at 12:30 it was announce we had to clear the premises as the building had to be closed and evacuated.  With dinner only just finnished we had basically 15 mins throw the bouqette, throw the garter, cut the cake, eat the dessert buffet and dance.

After arriving at the church with this threat pending over us for a cancellationof the party I decided to offer the couple not to use time now to take portraits but to do this on another day, on my time, at no additional cost. I felt so bad for them. This way they got to spend as much time as possible with guests on the actual day. 1 week later we met  in concon and did their portraits.

Everything ended up well, .....well.....we nearly all got washed away at one point by 3 HUGE waves coming much further up the rocks than the other waves but Felipe being a surfer read it well and dragged us out of the shoot position with about 4 seconds to spare   YIKES!!!! , Thanks Sir !   here is a sneek peek of the day.

Boda Vina Matetic Giovanni & Carolina (Houston Texas USA) 6 Mar 2011

Giovanni and Carolina had originally planned their event a long while back to take place in Pirque but with some complications arising the opted for Vina Matetic, always a great choice. Carolina has become a friend of  my other bride Carolina ( & Manuel / Houston) through weddingphotochile. 2 Chilenas living in Houston, Married in Vina Matetic and photos by http://www.weddingphotochile.com/ . Both Giovanni and Carolina flew in from Houson just a short while before the actual wedding and on our first meeting there they were both very tired. Thankfully on the weddding day they were full of energy. Giovanni originally from MILAN in Italy had some close family with him who were great fun in his preperation especially with the online Bow Tie instructions. Too Funny !.  Heres a quick peek of the day..

Shaun & Maricruz Pirque Wedding 26 Feb 2011

Shaun (USA) and Mariecruz (Chile) chose a very unique location on the outskirts of Pirque for their special day. The property and gardens made this location fantastic and the addition of äll guests...Bring a hat" gave them some very cool and fashionable photographs of their wedding day. Due to me being extreemly busy I only have time to pop a few quick photos here (11 of the 400 given to client)
