John & Karina Matrimonio Vina Matetic 12 Feb 2011

After extensive communication with john over skype over an extended period of time it was really great to finally meet him. I had met with Karina when she arrived a few weeks before the wedding after the long flight in from the UK we hit Starbucks and did the chronology crunch.  So I will get right to it.. Brittish hit Matetic!

Carina did her prep in the Master suite of the Matetic Casona where we used the natural light to asist the makeup and the wind to keep her cool

So after the two of these guys got ready we had to consider maybe taking their portraits before the ceremony but, keeping to tradition despite the possible loss of daylight after the church they said they did not want to see each other.....so..I came up with this idea...using the walkie talkies we coordinated bringing them in from different directions and  Da Daaaaa...they were soooo tempted to peek!!

Next stop Church and with the Priest being a family friend he just had to be flown in ...Nice guy & a nice touch !
The eye contact in this shot says it ALL

now with that over its time to get busy making some fotos..on route to the church this old building front just 300 meters from the church looked like a great place to take a shot..

Then off to Matetic to take some more before sundown and while the guests get cocktailed

Right guys, dinner is about to be served and as always Vina Matetic does a knockout meal..

Wth everyone fed and pisco'd its time to heat it up a little, John, You're UP

And now the revenge. John was not to sure of this next little pre garter throw trick but, with a little guidance HE NAILED IT

and with the formal stuff taken care of it was time for us to leave them to it. Great day guys, Many thanks

Matrimonio Costanza & Jorge ,El Pregon, Casablanca, Chile

Heres a little sneeky peeky....
What a great sunny warm day in the Casablanca Valley at El Pregon for this wonderful wedding. Jorge (The Groom) arrived bright and early complete with jacket, shoes and....ehhhh...better call to find out where your pants are !!!  OOOPS !!

Not completely shocked Costanza gets the pants story first hand....

Time to continue with the Bride Prep where Costanzas sister lends a helping hand

OK guys, pants on and get to the Church...EVERYONE IS WAITING !!

SEALING THE DEAL

Always an awaiting crowd for the brides of Chile

I love Mauricios vapture at the leaving end...Nice !

After the ceremony it was a quick greeting session then time to skoot back the 3km from the church to El Pregon to begin the cocktail. This little old church is over 70 years old and has some serious scars from the TEREMOTO but these add to its charm and history

After cocktails as the guests start to enter for dinner was a chance to catch the last of the days natural light and make some shots among the landscape of  this great location.

Mauricio catches the happy couple from another angle...the advantage of having Two photographers!

It's Dinner Time !!

Between bouts of the wild fun came moments like this...the way Costanza is looking at Jorge just says it all !!
Also consumed in the moment, Jorge seems almost unaware there are nearly 200 other people in the room

and without fail   the inevitable dance of the Marinos....but guys, youré not suposed to drop him  !!!

All The Single Ladies !!!!!!!

All the single gentlemen !!!!!!!

Nice Mauricio...this one gets my eyes full of tears with its little touch of Scotland !

and to end this quick preview off is a shot of me dragged into the crowd just before the guys attempted to pick me up with my cameras   YIKES  !!...thank goodness that didn't happen.. What a blast this wedding was.. Thanks Costanza and Jorge for a great day and one of the best steaks I have had in Chile !! I can't believe how well this shot turned out considering a guest took it with my 2nd camera after a couple of piscos ****("couple") *****
 ...good job !!

John & Joanna, Vina Indomita, Casablanca, Chile 22-Nov 2011

Joanna came to me through a contact via http://www.allchile.net/ an online haunt for gringos in and out of chile. A man by the name of Mike called me one day to see if I could cover the wedding photography of the neice of a friend of his, all very distant and confusing but on the Sunday before the wedding (Monday) at 7pm John and Joanna arrived at the Sheraton Miramar in Vina del mar for our pre arranged meeting to talk through any last minute details. Upon meeting both John and Joanna I instantly got a great vibe that this smaller and extreemly personlized event was going to be a dream to photograph. Here are some mainly detail oriented photos of the day.

Monday started at the hotel 11am sharp : Bridal preperation with novia and her Two very funny sisters.

I couldn't help myself...I had to take this next shot..  loving it !!

Ok ....So while all that was going on it was time for me to steal the dress and shoes and run around the Sheraton hiding from the groom

Can you spot the dress...?  If Joanna only knew what I was doing with her dress !!

Last minute details...

OK  now Joanna is ready, time to get her on the balcony to cool off before heading down to the Lincon
Trust me ..! she's there !!

and off we go !!

A very private and unique ceremony took place at the Vineyard hence the more generic images posted

Do these bridal shoes ROCK  or what !!

After the ceremony John and & Joanna headed up to the terrace to await their guests

Did someone say "COCKTAIL"?

Did someone say "LUNCH"?
One of the several toasts to this wonderfull couple

I loved the fact that Joanna had considered flowers for all the principle ladies at this event, and I loved the way the light was hittig them as they all took a drink while the wedding group had lunch.

With lunch over I had time to take the newlyweds for some informal portraits in the awesome location.

and to end the day...always with a kiss...This was an awesome day with a truely great bunch of people. Thanks guys for your patience and for agreeing to go to all the other crazy locations I dragged you too .
IT WAS ALL WORTH IT.
